Installing your trial download

The download is a standard Autodesk .bundle package — Revit loads it automatically once it's in the right folder. No installer, admin rights, or VP-Hub Agent required to try it.

Steps

  1. Download the .zip from the product page.
  2. Extract it. You'll get one folder ending in .bundle (for example LightningProtection.Revit.bundle).
  3. Open File Explorer and paste this path into the address bar, then press Enter:
    %appdata%\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins
  4. If that ApplicationPlugins folder doesn't exist yet, create it.
  5. Move the .bundle folder you extracted into ApplicationPlugins, so the path looks like ...\ApplicationPlugins\LightningProtection.Revit.bundle\PackageContents.xml.
  6. Restart Revit if it was open. The plugin's ribbon tab appears automatically — nothing else to configure.

About the trial

The first time you run a command, the plugin activates a time-limited trial automatically — no sign-up, no license key. When the trial period ends, the plugin will ask you to install VP-Hub Agent for continued or team licensing (seats, updates, organization management).

Uninstalling

Delete the .bundle folder from ApplicationPlugins and restart Revit. Nothing else is written to your system by the standalone trial.

Troubleshooting

  • Ribbon tab missing after restart — double-check the path above; the .bundle folder must sit directly inside ApplicationPlugins, not nested one level deeper.
  • Antivirus or a company policy may block %appdata% writes — try running Revit as the same user who extracted the files.

Про тріал

Під час першого запуску команди плагін автоматично активує обмежений у часі тріал — без реєстрації й ліцензійного ключа. Коли тріал закінчиться, плагін запропонує встановити VP-Hub Agent для подальшого чи командного ліцензування (seats, оновлення, управління організацією).

Видалення

Видаліть папку .bundle з ApplicationPlugins і перезапустіть Revit. Standalone-тріал більше нічого у систему не записує.

Не працює?

  • Вкладка не з'явилась після перезапуску — перевірте шлях вище: папка .bundle має лежати одразу всередині ApplicationPlugins, а не на рівень глибше.
  • Антивірус чи корпоративна політика можуть блокувати запис у %appdata% — спробуйте запустити Revit під тим самим користувачем, який розпаковував файли.
